This Acceptable Use Policy is issued by SPOTMIND HK Limited (Business Registration No: XXXX), a company incorporated in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Spotline", "we", "us") and forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited activities
Without limitation, the following are prohibited on the Spotline service:
(a) any activity that is unlawful in your jurisdiction or under the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
(b) the distribution of malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code;
(c) denial-of-service or distributed-denial-of-service attacks, port scanning at scale, brute-force credential attacks, or any form of unauthorised access to a network or system;
(d) the sending of unsolicited commercial email, spam, phishing, or scam messages;
(e) child sexual abuse material — zero tolerance, immediate termination and report to law enforcement;
(f) the infringement of any third party's intellectual property rights, including the unauthorised distribution of copyrighted material;
(g) the resale, sublicensing, or commercialisation of the Spotline service to any third party without an express written licence from Spotline;
(h) reverse engineering, decompilation, or any attempt to circumvent or interfere with technical measures or security controls of the service;
(i) any other conduct that, in Spotline's sole and reasonable discretion, harms or threatens to harm Spotline, other users, our infrastructure, or any third party.
2. Sole-discretion enforcement; no appeal
Spotline has sole discretion to determine whether conduct constitutes a violation of this Policy. Spotline's determination is final and not subject to appeal. There is no grace period for severe violations.
3. No prior warning for severe violations
For severe violations — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, fraud, large-scale network attacks, or repeated breach — Spotline will terminate the account immediately, without prior warning.
4. Investigation and temporary suspension
Where Spotline reasonably suspects a violation of this Policy, Spotline may investigate and may temporarily suspend the affected account during the investigation. No refund will be issued for any subscription period affected by such suspension if a violation is confirmed.
5. Cooperation with law enforcement
You agree to cooperate fully with any law-enforcement or regulatory investigation that involves your account. Spotline may disclose user data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities pursuant to a lawful request, without prior notice to the user, subject to applicable law.
6. No refund for violation
Termination for violation of this Policy does not give rise to any entitlement to refund of any unused portion of any subscription period.
7. Civil and equitable remedies
Spotline reserves the right, in addition to its rights of suspension and termination, to seek damages, account restitution, costs, and injunctive or equitable relief from any user who violates this Policy. Such rights are cumulative and not exclusive.
8. Reporting abuse
Reports of abuse may be sent to abuse@spotline.space. Anonymous reports are accepted. Reports should include the date, the nature of the activity, and any supporting evidence (logs, URLs, screenshots).
9. Fair use and bandwidth management
9.1 Per-account bandwidth cap. Plus accounts: 100 GB per calendar month. Family accounts: each member account is subject to a soft cap of 800 GB per calendar month. Upon reaching the soft cap, connection speed will be throttled to 1 Mbps for the remainder of the billing cycle. Trial accounts: 200 MB total during the 7-day trial period.
9.2 Family group hard cap. The aggregate bandwidth consumption of all members within a single Family subscription shall not exceed 4 TB per calendar month. Upon reaching this aggregate cap, the entire Family group's network access shall be suspended until the next billing cycle.
9.3 Regional capacity management. We monitor traffic on a per-region basis. To ensure equitable service quality, we may apply additional throttling to a region experiencing capacity constraints. Users may be advised to switch to alternative regions during such periods.
9.4 Speed restriction notice. Throttling and bandwidth caps are imposed at the sole discretion of SPOTMIND HK Limited. Users acknowledge that "unlimited fair use" does not guarantee unlimited bandwidth at unrestricted speed.
9.5 Continuous high-volume usage. Sustained 24/7 high-volume traffic exceeding the average user pattern may trigger automated review. Spotline reserves the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts engaged in such patterns without prior notice and without refund.
10. Family plan restrictions
10.1 Family plan eligibility. The Family plan is intended for personal, non-commercial use by a master subscriber and up to 5 invited members. Each member account requires: (a) a unique email address (different from master and other members); (b) a unique phone number for OTP verification (different from master and other members; VOIP, virtual or non-mobile numbers are not accepted); (c) membership confirmation via invitation code.
10.2 Invitation code validity. Family invitation codes expire 24 hours after generation. Used codes cannot be reused.
10.3 Member lock-in period. A family member account, once joined, cannot leave and rejoin the same or another family group within 30 days of joining. This prevents abuse of the invitation system.
10.4 Account sharing prohibition. Sharing, selling, or transferring family invitation codes or member accounts to third parties is strictly prohibited. Violation results in immediate termination of the master subscription and all associated member accounts without refund.
10.5 Master-level termination. Spotline may, at its sole discretion, terminate the entire Family group (master and all members) upon detection of: (a) sustained traffic patterns inconsistent with personal household use; (b) multiple member accounts originating from non-residential or geographically dispersed locations beyond reasonable family commute distance; or (c) patterns matching commercial resale or service redistribution.
10.6 No refund upon family termination for cause. Upon termination for cause under this clause, no refund of any kind shall be issued for any unused subscription period.
11. Trial account restrictions
11.1 One trial per person. Each individual is entitled to one (1) free trial only. Eligibility is determined based on, but not limited to: (a) email address (lifetime ban on duplicate signup); (b) phone number (lifetime ban on duplicate signup; VOIP, virtual or non-mobile numbers prohibited); (c) device fingerprint (lifetime ban on duplicate device); (d) Apple ID and Google Play ID (lifetime ban on duplicate platform identity); (e) IP address (24-hour cool-down for repeat signup attempts).
11.2 Anti-abuse detection. Trial signup is subject to automated fraud and abuse detection, including: disposable email-domain blocking; VOIP and virtual-phone-number filtering via third-party services; datacentre and proxy-IP detection (via IPQualityScore or equivalent); browser and device fingerprinting; reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile invisible verification; and honeypot field detection.
11.3 Trial denial. Failure to pass any of the above checks results in trial denial. Spotline reserves the right to deny trial access without specific explanation.
